Hosted by saxophonists Ian Buss and Robert Dove along with pianist Hugo Suarez, the Thursdays at the Ken is a celebration of jazz through one of its longest-standing traditions, the jam session. Local talent and world-renowned musicians alike will perform and explore traditional and contemporary tunes, embracing the history of the music and creating the art of the moment. The house band, filled out by a rotation of top-level bassists and drummers, will perform one set, then invite fellow musicians to the stage.
