Robotics Club
SWRiSE will host Co-ed Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) workshops to inspire children of all ages to explore these concepts in a fun and challenging way. SouthWest Robotics in Science Education is partnering with the Boy Scouts of America to begin an opportunity for all students in the San Diego County.
Co-Ed club for all students ages 10-14 years old. Kids do not need to be Boy or Girl Scouts in order to participate. Will span for the bulk of the school year with five months of classes from August to December. This club will be formed around the STEM world and will focus in robotics. Students will have the opportunity to learn coding, build robots, go on offsite adventures to visit local schools or companies, and learn more about how STEM is incorporated in the community. There will also be options for volunteer service as a group. Students will have the opportunity to choose what they want to do and learn throughout the club along with following the schedule to code and build their robots. The students will build toward a main goal to be presented at the end of the year. Students can be beginner's level to more advance. Courses will be delivered by a trained mentor.
