Second City: The Good, The Bad, and the I-5
2910 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, 92037
Satirical feedback or, San Diego seen from outside the loop. The Second City (spawners of many a Saturday Night Live star) skewer our mega-buffed image. As with all improv comedy, some bits miss, but most hit (and hit home) especially about our mayor - and show that we can't sweep our roving Id(iot) under the national rug. Since the six performers take suggestions from the audience, the show will change from night to night (though Andel Sukik's song for "all the whales" is worth the price of admission). It's a pleasure to watch skilled performers in the moment, creating literally on the spot. They know how to work real hard yet seem to be hardly working.
Worth a try.
