Tallis: A story of four lovers. Resident Choreographer Elizabeth Wistrich takes inspiration for her ballets from the music. This Ralph Vaughan Williams work came from a borrowed theme from his 16th century English forebear, Thomas Tallis, and extended it into an elaborate, richly textured fantasia – perfect for Ms. Wistrich’s interpretation using two couples dancing to the flowing, interwoven themes of the music. Choreographed in 1994 and last performed by City Ballet of San Diego in 1994. Streaming through March 21.
