Revolt. She Said. Revolt. Again
Powerful is an understatement for this drama. Tense. Sexual. Invocative. Loud. These are just some adjectives for a play that tackles issues facing women today: sexual assault, workplace discrepancies, marriage possession, abuse. InnerMission's diverse cast (Kristiana Rosas and Charly Montgomery, standouts), perform multiple scenes on the small black box stage, barren but for a table, a few blocks, and a backdrop of red string, which plays its own role as the ties that bind, the string of commitment in a wedding vow, and the monotonous winding task of the workday. The ending is a frenzy of projected phrases on the wall, spoken by the actors, and a message that speaks to the play's title. It's time to revolt (correct phone numbjer: 619-324-8970).Worth a try.
