Lamb's Players Festival of Christmas
1142 Orange Avenue, Coronado, 92118
December 24, 1952: a statewide snowstorm shuts down Manhattan. Since the various acts are stuck in traffic, how will Steve Fairfield's holiday TV show go on? Have faith, Kerry Meads' lively script says, and trust in the talent you have. Turns out, the Harmonaires, amateur contest winners from Dubuque, just needed a break. And, on a one-camera set (with director Delmonico - David Cochran Heath - making a Scrooge-like change from glitz to honesty in production values), they do. Lamb's Players' show is fun, beautifully sung and choreographer. As part of its theme, the two off-stage characters (played by Jacob Caltrider and Rebecca Spear) emerge from the wings and shine.
Worth a try.
