In Anna K. Jacobs (music) and Bill Nelson's (book and lyrics) world premiere musical, Heath has a farm in rural Kansas. On the outside, he's a hard-working Kansan. Inside the farmhouse he lives with his partner of four years, Julian, who wants to join a group of gay men who sing on Monday nights. Then they want to sing in public. The musical's slow to take shape. But blessed by a knockout production at Diversionary, it evolves into a funny, warm-spirited, ultimately touching evening. Director James Vasquez and an outstanding ensemble cast make it hard to imagine the show being better served.
