The person sitting next to you, in Scott Brown and Anthony King's heartfelt spoof of backer's auditions, could be a rich Broadway producer! That's because Doug and Bud are doing a staged reading/singing of their new musical. It's based on the life of Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of the printing press. They didn't find much about his life, so they treat fictions as facts, often funny ones at that. The songs and skits vary in quality. But Anthony Methvin and Tom Zohar's performances, as exhausting as they are entertaining, sustain a high level throughout. Worth a try.
