Free Music Lessons
Calling 2nd-5th Graders for Free Music Lessons on Chimes Chimes are an instrument modeled after the keyboard, where an individual chime is one note. There are black chimes (the black keys on a piano), and silver chimes (the white keys on a piano). St. Marks United Methodist Church offers FREE music lessons on chimes on Thursdays from 5:20pm to 6:00pm to 2nd through 5th graders. We learn how to read music, what each part of the staff is telling us in music, and we have fun playing chimes. We meet in the Social Hall, which is located on the west side of the campus, and we begin this Thursday, October 11th, and meet almost every Thursday after that. Performance opportunities are also available, approximately once a month the group will play during a Sunday worship service.
