Cornel/Henry Art Exhibition: Jennifer Georgescu
The Cornel/Henry Artgallery presents an online exhibition of the'mother series' by Jennifer Georgescu, a San Diego based photographer and mother. Jennifer Georgescu (BFA, Watkins College of Art) is a photographer and mother based in San Diego. With a background in painting and photographic arts, she utilizes medium format film photography, installation, and digital technology. Her work describes instinctual aspects of humanity correlating to and differing from societal structuring. Her projects analyze dualisms in language, relationships, mythologies and control.
Jennifer Georgescu is part of the Photolucida 2019 Critical Mass Top 200, the 2019 recipient of the John Chervinsky Scholarship of Griffin Museum of Photography, and the 2019 recipient of the William Male Foundation Award. Recent exhibitions include the Baldwin Photographic Gallery, Milwaukee Art Museum, Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Center for Fine Art Photography, and Vermont Center for Photography. Recent publications include Lenscratch, Aint Bad, Don’t Smile, the Missouri Review, Silvershotz, and SHUTR magazine.
