Cloud Tectonics
Take 90 minutes, three characters, an apocalyptic Los Angeles, rain on stage, foot massages, a large vertical bed, and "time that doesn't add to itself," and you have a rough glimpse of the captivating love story that is Cloud Tectonics. Veteran Nadia Guevara is haunting as the innocent Celestina del Sol, a pregnant woman living beyond the boundaries of time. Jose Ballestrini is brilliant in his debut professional theater role as Anibal der La Luna, who falls in love with Celestina over the course of a single night that spans two years in "real' time. Of the Sun("sol") and the Moon ("luna") these actors demonstrate the power of living each moment and making the most of every connection.Critic's Pick.
