Written by Nagle Jackson, this backstage comedy is witty and fast. An acting troupe findthemselves having to perform in an Eastern European police state. They deal with trysts and intrigue backstage and on. Chaos escalates when the troupe leader's convinced he will be shot during the third act. After the one and only set change, the North Coast Rep show kicks things up. The actors deliverlines from behind set pieces (for fear of being caught in the crossfire). Under the direction of Andrew Barnicle, the cast performs with precise comic timing, movement, and intentional overacting. All combine for an entertaining evening.Worth a try.
