Art Exhibit: House, Broken
Marisol Rendon and Ingram Ober are artists and educators who reside in San Diego. They are also married with children and continuously “fixing” their home. Ingram’s work sits at the collision point between some of his favorite contemporary art influences, cast-off materials from around the house, and DIY home improvement. Marisol’s work explores the space between hope and delusion through a seemingly geologic investigation of domestic materials and objects. It is the hopeful, yet always overwhelming aesthetics of family/homeownership that is the central theme that binds their work for this exhibition. Artist: Marisol Rendon & Ingram Ober Exhibit: March 12–April 11 (closed March 18–22) Artist's Talk: Thurs., March 14, 11:30 a.m. Reception: Thurs., March 14, 6:30–8:30 p.m.
