Cygnet Theatre warns patrons about Martin McDonagh's "violence and strong language." And if frontal, fun house–warped theater — imagine Sam Shepard on 55-Hour Energy — is not your cup of tea, stay away! Behanding bullies its audience for 90 minutes with racism, homophobia, and F-bombs. Problem is: it's also very funny. Carmichael (Jeffrey Jones) lost his left hand 27 years ago and has quested for it ever since. Marilyn (Kelly Iverson) and Toby (Vimel) may have found it and end up chained to a radiator and soaked in gasoline. Nerdy Mervyn (Mike Sears) doesn't care. He's having the adventure of his psychotic dreams.
Worth a try.
