Join members from the San Diego Astronomy Association at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground’s Day Use Parking Lot to view the nighttime sky through telescopes. Telescopes provided or bring your own if you have one. The Moon is waxing, crescent at 20 percent in between Venus and Saturn. Jupiter is high near the Pleiades and Mars rises at 5:58. This is a good dark night for the favorite Winter objects such as the Orion Nebula and Great Galaxy in Andromeda. You might pick up some bright Quadrantid meteors in the bright Santee skies.
