League of Women Voters 105th Birthday Reception

The League of Women Voters of North County San Diego (LWVNCSD) is celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the national League of Women Voters. The public is invited to join League members for an exclusive performance of Beth Rankin Urech's solo play Jeannette Rankin Fights Back followed by an informal reception with refreshments on Saturday February 22 at 2 p.m.
League member Urech has written about her cousin, a suffragist who was elected to U.S. Congress before women could vote nationally. Proud of being the only woman to vote to give women the vote, when asked at age 91 if she'd do it over again, Rankin proclaimed, "Yes, and next time I'd be nastier."
