Cost: Free
Join award-winning author and storyteller Jack Innis as he recounts tales from San Diego’s past. Did you know that during WWII, Bing Crosby’s “Bomber Builders” took over the Del Mar Racetrack to build aircraft? Hear all about “Jaguarina,” a legendary professional swordswoman who fought, and defeated, every male opponent who dared challenge her skills. Finally, the endearing Kumeyaay tale “Matiweel, the Fisherman,” who paddled his canoe to a distant island in an attempt to win the heart of a princess but inadvertently introduced new pests to the San Diego region. Autographed copies of Jack’s book, San Diego Legends Second Edition, will be available at discount.
