Join a MTRP Trail Guide on a special LABOR DAY nature walk and learn about the plants, animals, geology, history, and ecology of the park on one of these scenic trails: The Oak Grove Loop showcasing majestic coast live oaks, rare Engelmann’s oaks, and a Kumeyaay ‘ewaa (hut). The Visitor Center Loop highlighting coastal sage scrub, chaparral, riparian woodland habitats, and the riverside grinding rocks, one of the archaeological sites in the park. These interpretive nature walks are offered to enhance your appreciation of the unique beauty of San Diego’s natural environment. The park is constantly changing, so see and learn new things on walks throughout the year. Starts in the cooler morning.
