Dance and music featuring folklore meets funk with Firebird, an ancient tale of a magical bird of fire comes alive with a contemporary twist. Artistic Director Javier Velasco’s modern/ballet fusion teams classical dancers with hip-hop artists. Also on the program: Mambomania, set to the Latin jazz beat of Perez Prado and featuring physical pyrotechnics .
