Holiday Lights on Main
El Cajon's annual Holiday Lights on Main ushers in the festive season with a blend of art, music, and family-friendly activities. This year's event introduces the Holiday Lights Art Walk, featuring 28 local artists, including sculptor Don Flores, potter Summer Strutt, and abstract painter Ross Adcock. Five downtown galleries will host special events, offering attendees a chance to explore diverse artworks. Live performances by The Audio Hounds and The Exit will provide musical entertainment, complemented by a variety of food trucks. Families can enjoy carnival rides, ice skating, and a cookie decorating station at Main Street Donuts and Deli. A scavenger hunt and Christmas passport program will engage visitors throughout downtown shops, with prizes for participants. The evening culminates with a tree lighting ceremony on Main Street, featuring Santa Claus and Mayor Bill Wells.
