Birdwatching From the Center Terrace
Have you ever wanted to explore birds by just being still and letting them come to you? Enjoy Nature without having to huff and puff up and down an uneven trail? Then this is the event for you. Join a volunteer Trail Guide on the back terrace of the MIssion Trails Regional Park Visitor Center and watch the birds that come by, such as, the Yellow-rumped Warbler, White-crowned Sparrow, Common Raven, Peregrine Falcon, and California Thrasher. This is open to people of all ages and ability levels.
Meet on the back terrace of the Visitor Center. If you come before the Visitor Center opens at 9:00 a.m., take the sidewalk to the right around the building. Bring binoculars if you have them, but there will be some available. A hat and sunscreen are also recommended. This event will be canceled if raining.
