Film Screening: Pushed Up the Mountain
One Father Junípero Serra Trail, San Carlos, 92119

Pushed Up the Mountain is a poetic, 75-minute film by Julia Haslett about plants and the people who care for them. Through the tale of the migrating rhododendron, now endangered in its native China, the film reveals how high the stakes are for all living organisms in this time of unprecedented destruction of the natural world.
As we in the San Diego region work to reintroduce native plants to our own yards and restore native habitat at Mission Trails, similar activities are taking place in China to expand populations of rhododendron.
