Guided Bird Walk - Lake Murray (Ball Fields)
Join MTRP bird walk leaders for a guided walk along the scenic shore of Lake Murray. In winter, Lake Murray reliably provides an abundance of waterfowl as well as land birds. We’ll look for Tri-colored Blackbirds (see picture) that are found year-round only in California. Saturday bird walk is designed for beginning or newer birdwatchers, but all skill levels are welcome to attend.
Bring binoculars if you have them. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and bring along water. A hat and sunscreen are also recommended. Walks are canceled if raining.
Meet on the northwest side of the lake. After entering at Murray Park Dr. and Belle Glade Ave. proceed along the driveway past a set of ballfields on your right and turn into the paved parking lot on your right.
