Twilight Bird Walk
Join MTRP bird walk leaders for a guided bird walk along Father Junipero Serra Trail and the Grasslands area of the park. We avoid the summer heat on this evening bird walk along trails in the eastern portion of the park . We’ll look and listen for owls, nighthawks, poorwills, bats, deer, and other creatures of the night. For more information, contact Ranger Steven Blankenship at [email protected]. Bring binoculars if you have them. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and bring along water. Don't forget to bring along a flashlight and an extra layer of clothing -- it often cools down after the sun sets. Meet at the west end of the dirt parking lot at corner of Bushy Hill Dr. and Father Junipero Serra Trail (near the Campground). Walks are canceled if raining.
Attendance on this bird walk is limited to 40. Register online.
