Band leaders Charles McPherson and Gilbert Castellanos bring some of the most beloved charts from Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie to the Rady Shell stage, featuring a band made of up of some of the top jazz players in the U.S. Note: the San Diego Symphony does not appear on this program. Musicians from the Young Lions Jazz Conservatory will perform a pre-concert set.
