Migratory Bird Day Nature Walk
One Father Junípero Serra Trail, San Carlos, 92119
Cost: Free
More than a billion birds are migrating through California to reach their breeding grounds this spring. Many will stop in San Diego to rest and refuel, and some will nest here for several months to raise their young. Join members of Nature and Culture International’s team for a peaceful nature walk through riparian woodland and sage scrub right here in San Diego. Be on the lookout for a few iconic long-distance travelers, like the Western wood-pewee and Olive-sided flycatcher. These bird species will (hopefully) be visiting all the way from some of the areas we protect in Latin America.
