Food Cycle Program: March Harvest
137 North El Camino Real, Encinitas, 92024
Cost: Free
The Food Cycle program allows community members who can't compost at home to divert their food waste. A triple bin aerated static pile system that is on a precise timeline is available to get food scraps cooking and turned into finished compost to be sent back out into the community as fast as possible. Learn about composting and the bokashi method by assisting with: Shoveling finished compost, Sifting compost using trommel, Moving compost to curing station.
