Second Chances
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) officers, graduates, local politicians, community influencers and local celebrities are celebrating the launch of “Second Chances” - a year-long campaign designed to bring greater awareness to the issue of recovery. In 2022, more than 2.9 million Californians suffered from substance use disorder (and 20 million nationwide). Attendees are invited to post their reflections on what choices they might have made differently on an 8’ x 12’ Red Wall that will remain up throughout the year. The event will include tours of the San Diego ARC, part of the nation’s most successful network of residential, no-fee, six-month adult drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. And there will be a pop up with some of the freshest finds from The Salvation Army Thrift Store.
