15-Year Anniversary
Founders Gary and Mindy Wu, who emigrated to the United States from Inner Mongolia, China in 1995, opened the concept in September 2007 after first owning a Rice King in Mira Mesa. The Mongolian Hot Pot experience entails creating your own soup while seated at the table. The broth is brought to a boil and left simmering on a stove at your table for the duration of the meal. Selections of raw meats, fish, vegetables, and noodles are presented on a tray for you to place in the broth and thus cooked. You then serve yourself the creation in a bowl. The concept is great for two, four, or more people – the restaurant has the ability to seat large groups with multiple stoves. To celebrate the 15th anniversary, Mongolian Hot Pot is offering all-you-can-eat hot pots for $15.50 per person. It’s first come, first serve. No reservations.
