Boating Safety Day
1250 Rosecrans Street, San Diego, 92106
Boating Safety Day is about the importance of wearing life jackets and designating a Sober Skipper for every boating trip. The event will feature hourly boating safety talks given by Capt. Greg Dreischmeyer, representing the Sea Tow Foundation, as well as Mark Clark, representing the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. The speakers and other experts will also be on hand all afternoon to answer questions, fit children with life jackets, help boaters find the proper safety gear for their boats, and lead boaters in taking the Sober Skipper Pledge to join the 131,000 people nationwide who have already done so.
