The Hawks & The Sparrows (1966. 90 minutes): Controversial Pier Paolo Pasolini directed this subversive comic odyssey focused on a father (Italian screen legend Toto) and his slow-witted son who take a time-traveling stroll through life accompanied by a talking “left-wing intellectual “ crow spouting Marxist philosophies and social critiques. (Italian with English subtitles) Film Forum Coronado is held in the Winn Room at the Coronado Public Library, twice a month, with a brief introduction before the film and a discussion afterward, led by Ralph DeLauro. This program is presented by the Coronado Public Library and the Coronado Island Film Festival.
