From Mesopotamia to Pompeii: A Tale of 1001 Agricultural Bites
330 Park Boulevard, San Diego, 92101
Cost: Free
Culinary Historians of San Diego will present “From Mesopotamia to Pompeii: A Tale of 1001 Agricultural Bites” featuring Barbara Baxter in the Neil Morgan Auditorium. This is a delicious look at how edible ingredients spurred the development of classic societies through food trade around the Mediterranean world. Over time, culinary traditions changed drastically in and around the shores of Persia, North Africa and Southern Europe. Join our audience to compare those changes with our modern ways. Barbara Baxter studied wine at Sorbonne University, Paris, and continued her inquiry into its heritage ever sincethe presentation.
