This class is geared towards expanding your creative side by working with encaustic painting- an ancient beeswax-based medium, and combining it with other mediums and techniques including using oil paint, watercolor, ink, and photo transfers. Specialized instruction will focus on specific ways to make interesting artwork using line, shape, form, color, value, space, and amazing texture. Techniques include different types of brushwork, layering, fusing, photo transfers, collaging and embedding elements, and more. You will learn all about encaustic and finish up to 6 small paintings by the end of this fun, informative art class. Class Limit 6. No Experience is necessary.
