Sierra Talks: Anza-Borrego Photographic Journey
All over the world from, San Diego
Cost: Free
Ernie Cowan has been an Outdoor/Nature writer for more than three decades, documenting his observations and travels from the Arctic Circle to the Eastern Sierra. But his true love is the vast expanse of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Cowan spent eight years under contract with the State of California to explore, map, and document in photographs the 28,000-acre Carrizo Impact Area. This remote area of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park has been closed to the public since 1942 when it was designated a military bombing range. It is a unique area of geological, archeological, and historical significance
