Shaman's Hike
4206 Sorrento Valley Boulevard, San Diego, 92121
Cost: Free
We used to think that shamanism, which is the spiritual and healing practices of indigenous people such as Native Americans, was demonic, superstitious, and unscientific. The colonial Spanish in California, for instance, thought shamanism was ignorant and blasphemous and forbade it. We now know, thanks to the ideas of diversity, that shamanism can be of value for modern people and is worth studying. On this hike with Will Bowen we will learn and practice some shamanistic techniques which can connect us to the natural world and show how to find deep reflection and healing in nature. Meet in the West End Parking Staging Area, Sorrento Valley Blvd., Sorrento Valley.
