Join members from the San Diego Astronomy Association at the West Sycamore Staging Area to view the nighttime sky through telescopes. It will be an outstanding night at West Sycamore because it will be dark with no moon. Bright planets will be prominent, and Mars will be bright and show detail as it is only 8 days after opposition (i.e., Earth is between the Sun and Mars) that happens every 26 months. View winter constellations, Orion, Taurus, Auriga rising. Tear yourself away from mars and see the Great Nebula in Orion. Viewing Begins at Dusk. Rain or cloudy skies cancel event.
