WARBOATS: 55 Years of Naval Special Warfare Combatant Craft
Book signing by the authors Phil Garn and James Gray. WARBOATS, 55 Years of Naval Special Warfare Combatant Craft History by Boat Unit veterans James Gray and Phil Garn is the first book about “The Silent Ones,” now known as Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC). The book is profusely illustrated with many never-published photos, documents, insignia and charts as well as dozens of veteran interviews. The book tells the story of Naval Special Warfare Boat Units -- from the Boat Support Units of the 1960s prowling the coast of North Vietnam and the waterways of the Mekong Delta to today’s Special Boat Teams in action around the world -- with some background on maritime special operations since Colonial times. Published by the Combatant Craft Crewman Association, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving the history and honoring our veterans.
