This class is geared towards expanding your creative side with encaustic painting- a luminous ancient beeswax-based medium, and combining it with other mediums and techniques including watercolor, collage, Sumi ink, and photo transfers. Specialized instruction will focus on specific ways to make interesting artwork using line, shape, form, color, value, space, and amazing sensual texture. You will learn different types of brushwork, all about layering, fusing, adding photo transfers, collage and embedding elements, and more. Learn all about encaustic and finish 6 small paintings by the end of this art class. All supplies are included.
