Filipino-American History Celebration
Honoring the events, experiences, and lives of Filipino people in America and their impact on society. This free afternoon will feature music, food and fun for the whole family. This year's event will also place a special focus on the small and local Filipino-owned and managed businesses at Otay Ranch Town Center, such as Nestle Toll House Cafe, Novo Brazil Brewing, various Farmer's Market vendors and incoming tenant Red Ribbon Bakeshop. Guests can get their traditional Filipino food fix for Lumpia, Pancit, Adobo and more from vendors such as Seafood City and Grill City. Live performers such as Solid Jam Band and the Mira Mesa Dance Group, and a Filipino/a fashion show and presentations from local community partners will entertain visitors all afternoon. New for 2021 is the addition of several screenings throughout the day at AMC Otay Ranch Town Center as part of the San Diego Filipino Film Festival (SDFFF) which runs October 14-19.
