Many writers, from eleventh-century Japanese writer Murasaki Shikibu, to Williams Carlos Williams, to the contemporary Cuban author Wendy Guerra, exploit a combination of prose and verse. Why do writers combine prose and poetry? What is the qualitative and creative difference of the result? This class examines this creative subject and offers insight to help you in your work.
