Charity Ball
The Charity Ball is one of San Diego’s grand traditions of commitment to the children of our community. Themed “Leap Into the Future,” this year’s ball will benefit the Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine, which is working to make genetic screening fast, easy and routine for diagnosing and delivering precision medicine to acutely ill babies and children. The black-tie event begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner in the historic Crown Room, followed by dancing to the Mighty Untouchables in the Grand Ballroom from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. For more than a century, the volunteer-organized Charity Ball has brought together community leaders and supporters for a night of elegance and entertainment and has a long-lasting impact on the children of our region. By raising funds to start or support important programs, construct new buildings, and provide care for the children who need help the most, the Charity Ball has created a lasting legacy on which Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego has come to depend. Tickets to the Charity Ball are $385 and VIP box seating is also available.
