Add/Subtract Integers to Music: Ages 10-14

Students will master their ability to add and subtract simple integers by utilizing the strategy of music and math. They will learn a mathematical rendition based on the traditional folk song "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." Students will get to demonstrate their ability to see the difference between each skill (adding and subtracting two positive integers, a positive and a negative integer, and two negative integers) and explain how the lyrics to the song help them remember how to apply each skill in solving each problem.
