The November Friends of San Diego Architecture lecture features Diane Kane, PHd, who will present "Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Irving Gill: Modern Architecture Emerges." On the 150th birthday of Mackintosh, Dr. Kane will recount how Scottish baronial castles, Jungian mysticism, Japanese design, and emerging Modernist ideas influenced his highly creative work and the surprising commonalities between his work and San Diego’s Irving Gill. Come early for coffee. Lectures are $5. Students are free. No reservations are necessary. Enter on 13th Street and take stairway or elevator.
