Garden of the Dead Reborn
3205 Olive Street, Lemon Grove, 91945
The Lemon Grove Historical Society continues its "History Alive" series with historian Alexander Bevil on the importance of the "Garden of the Dead," AKA "The Franciscan Garden" at the foot of Presidio Park. San Diego leader George Marston donated the park land in 1929, knowing how many important people were buried there. He urged civic attention to no avail. Bevil is on the job to finish what Marston started.
