About the Speaker: Elizabeth Armstrong has written widely about modern and contemporary art. She was executive director of Palm Springs Art Museum from 2015-2018. Previously, she was the founding curator of contemporary art at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where she also ran the Center for Alternative Museum Practice (CAMP). She was deputy director of the Orange County Museum of Art, and held senior curatorial positions at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. She is Currently working as an independent writer, guest curator, and museum consultant.
