Coffee with Kafka: From Cat Person to the Castle
506 21st Street, San Diego, 92102
Cost: Free - $10
Coffee with Kafka will explore romantic relationships, sex, and the yearning for love, central themes of both Franz Kafka's 1917 novel "The Castle" and Kristen Roupenian's 2017 New Yorker short story sensation, "Cat Person." We will bridge a century of literary fiction and sexual alienation to help us answer a centuries-old question: Why is love so often plagued by misunderstandings? Savory East European treats, wine, coffee, lots of good cheer and camaraderie.
