Buying, selling or remodeling a home this summer? There are endless issues along the way and to assist San Diegans looking for information about where to start, questions to ask or even just general pitfalls to avoid, the Thank You Heroes Home Rebate Program is holding a FREE, two-hour education session on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Serra Mesa - Kearny Mesa branch of the San Diego Library. A panel of experts, including lenders, real estate agents, tax professionals and others will walk attendees through a list of questions and considerations for anyone buying, selling or improving a house (even if they have done it before!): Monetary and lending considerations and what various terms mean and how to pick the right loan for your particular project or need Repair issues and sweat equity planning Inspection reports and warranty plans for buyers and sellers Big-picture thinking for both buyers and sellers and choosing the right house for you Tax implications Different ways of taking title and what the options mean Property tax savings and differences The seminar is free and seating is first come, first served but you may register in advance via www.thankyouheroes.com/education.
