The Gathering: A Fundraising Event
The CCM invites you to the party of the year on July 17, 2019! Held at the Museum’s home in San Diego’s Balboa Park, The Gathering is a major fundraising event that brings fans together in celebration of their favorite pop culture characters and to raise critical funds in support of the Museum. Guests will also preview what to expect from the CCM. All three floors will be fully activated with displays of art, fashion, technology, music, live entertainment, and themed food and drink. The Gathering will help raise funds for construction of the CCM. Scheduled to open in 2021, the Museum will feature round-the-clock programming, rotating immersive experiences, theaters and an Education Center. THE COMIC-CON MUSEUM CHARACTER HALL OF FAME During the evening, a special ceremony will honor Batman as the inaugural inductee into the Comic-Con Museum’s Character Hall of Fame, and will include special guest appearances. Gotham City will come to life in the Comic-Con Museum featuring displays of authentic props, memorabilia and interactive experiences in celebration of Batman’s 80th Anniversary.
