Celebrate Christmas Eve with candlelight and carols, the Christmas Story and the Christmas Spirit. First Church in Mission Valley offers five distinct candlelight services on Christmas Eve. From early family services including a nativity pageant at 5:00, to traditional carols and soaring anthems, to the quiet mystery of late night worship -- all services will feature the traditional congregational lighting of candles. The light from the Christ candle will spread throughout the worship space as the congregation sings “Silent Night, Holy Night” and all participants will share the light with each other at these most meaningful and beautiful services.
