Carol of the Bells
Carol of the Bells tells the story of Scott Johnson, a man adopted as an infant who as an adult seeks to find his biological parents. His biological mother, Carol Harris, discovers is a woman with Down syndrome. She lives in a home for people with developmental disabilities that is sternly directed by her overly protective mother, Helen Harris. The film’s central conflict and themes revolve around family, parenting, generational differences concerning adoption and societal acceptance and inclusiveness of people with different abilities. Fashion Valley AMC will show “Carol of the Bells,” a feature film directed by Joey Travolta, from December 1st through December 7th. Options For All was one of three executive producers for the film, in partnership with Joey Travolta and Inclusion Films. Options For All sent a professional and two students from the nonprofit’s San Diego and San Bernardino Studios to work on the film. Tickets to “Carol of the Bells” can be purchased through AMC
